Slip-ons only - no fuel or intake changes?

Slip-ons only - no fuel or intake changes?
If I switched to a set of Rush slip-ons that has the same size as the stock muffler (1.75 on the 2006 SG) would it be necessary to upgrade the rest of the air-flow and fuel management systems to compensate? By "necessary" I mean would the bike run rough or seem out of tune. I like the sound of the Rush pipes over stock but I still have not decided if I want to spend the money for a complete stage 1 upgrade.

If all your looking for is the sound, you don't need anything else.
The bike will run just fine.
But if you want to take full advantage of the "potential" power gain, you'll need to add the rest of the package (fuel management, air management, etc.).
