Salute to those unable to ride

Thanks for the ride Doghair. I would have liked to join you but It was +4 degrees this morning and this is a pic taken in my back yard out my sliding glass door.
I take it in stride, Winter gives me something to look forward to, like that first ride in the Spring.

That's a new one in honor of us living in the North that cannot ride! I guess I should say thanks for the thought. But honestly,we could not be happier living up here.We have loved this part of the country all our lives and after all the traveling we have done into the warm climates,we are the lucky ones. Our four distinct seasons are what we look forward to every year.Of course having domething to do in all those seasons helps.Enjoy your rides,we have snow to shovel!

Well, she's plenty ugly here, again, this morn. About 8"s of 'fresh' yesterday, winds up to 35 and wind chills at -40+. Had to blow snow the drive, just to get the rig in last night when I came home from 11 hours of wrestling with boiler. Starting to look like an 'old fashioned' winter up here. Been a lot of years since we have had one.
At least we are used to it (?? !!) and have the equipment, and systems to deal with it. A lot of you, are getting this chit, and it's NOT normal, and you're just not set up to handle it.
Just saw clips from Seattle on Morning News, STAY in front of the keyboard and bang on the keys. That's NOT your kinda weather outside. And you folks up in NH, STILL w/o power.
Banner year for the ski resorts and snowmobile riders up here, for a change.
Trust me, I have given serious consideration to moving, now that the kids are grown. BUT I continue to live here, for the same reason I am riding a hardtail kicker at 56, BECAUSE I CAN, and I LOVE it.
THANX for the ride. (But next time, can we go FASTER??!!!! )
Now, where the H*ll did I put that shovel?
SOME PPL's Kids:
So I'm getting ready to head out the door yesterday morning. It's dark out, COLDER than a witch's t*t in a brass bra, snowing.
I call down the hallway "See ya later"
Reponse, "Have a NICE day. DON'T LET THE DOG OUT, it's TOO COLD"
Gee, Thanx Honey, it's ok for me to head out in that chit, but the dog (BIG azzed Chesapeake) needs to stay inside.

Thanks for thinking of us who can't ride. It's -7 degrees here in northern Illinois. Damn near froze my *** off shoveling snow. Sad part is it'll be another 3 to 4 month before I can ride again. Oh well, at least I have a snowmobile to ride.

I can't believe the people in good weather are rubbing in. So rather than post a pic of all the sunshine - Here's to thinking of you snowed in- Merry Christmas.

Here's a picture of what you're missing in Western MA today. I just took this 5 minutes ago in my front yard. Ugh.
