06 Ultra avg about 40mpg mix of town and open road, wish it were better with high test going for $3/gal

 

05 883C. Crusin the back roads, 62 has been the max, not unusual to get 60. Highway, at speed limit of 70, around 48-50. I made a run of 105 miles all interstate and ran 80-85 all the way, mileage plummeted to 45. I put the windshield on and made the same run almost exactly at the same speed and distance, milage with windsheild was 48.5. Speed is the biggest factor with my Sporty when it comes to the MPG. Most of my Buds said the windsheild would kill my mileage, well I proved them wrong on that.

 

I don't keep track , a $20K toy , who cares what it gets . Know one thing it would get get better MPG if it had the stock exhaust , hell I just get on my " BAD MOTOR SCOOTER AND RIDE " ! Keep track of when to get gas with the odometer , 150 miles and I start looking for a gas station .

2005 Ultra with SERT, Samson Rolled Thunder pipes, and K & N filter. Averaging about 34-36 combined mileage. Highway mileage gets close to 40, and strictly around town with a heavy torque of the wrist frequently produces about 31.
