Yep! That's the answer. "Get both."

This was it for me too. My wife and I rented a Roadglide and comfort wise it was great and truly a pleasure to ride on the slab. However, the bike handled the canyons like a dump truck so we're still on the 1200R and will be until we get very old.

Besure to put a fxr on that list. Yes i did, have one now and don't look back. better seat room than a bagger and better ride. Have a hard truck to bolt on if needed and soft bagges with t bag when i want those.

Never owned a bagger, but a bunch of friends do, and I've ridden about all of them over the years...nice bikes, all of 'em, just not my personal style...I can throw everything I need in the TBags on the Train and go any distance my friends can go on a bagger...maybe when I get older, but I'm only 59, so I figure I got a few years left on the Train...

I have had sporties dyna wide glide fatboy and rkc. The rkc will always stay and keep revolving around the other models.

ahem, see sig. I started out on an '05 Dyna Low Ryder as my first Harley. When the wife started going with me, we found it to be to small for longggg trips. So I got the RG. Many happy miles later I wanted to get a second bike for around town and day trips, welllllll, we both fell in love with the Fat Bob. Deja vu.

Yep! Sure am , anything less than a Bagger sure does feel like a little bike to me.Not honda dream machine little , just more like something to stay in town with , then again use my Ultra for a commuter bike .

I did just that, I wish I could have both, but I got the Ultra for my wife to ride with me, but after a while she wanted her own bike, so she went and got one, so I really didnt need the big touring bike any more... That said my knees started taking there toll on me so I got rid of the big bagger and went back to a Dyna... Love it !
I do miss the radio sometimes, and the wind protection on the chilly days, but not enough to put my knees thru that pain again

I'm getting a Road Glide next, hopefully buy march 09. The wife wants the RG sooner though, she wants the trunk backrest and speakers...

I love my Dyna to much to part with it.

A bunch of interesting responses... Bottom line: To each his own.
