A bagger is so nice and comfortable to ride, After riding a Dyna and getting beat up on the road by the wind and the elements, I love my bagger. I like being able ride in comfort and feel fresh and relaxed when I do reach my destination.

Really a hard decision. I don't tour but I do ride it alot, back and forth to work everyday, about 110miles a day.
A front fairing, bags would be really nice but the night train is so easy to push around.

That guy's Sportster could go off jumps and stuff too. (And hill climbs).
I'm lucky enough to have both. (EG and a Sporty). If I had to pick one, I'd really have to think a bit. I like the Sportster for it's speed and stuff. I've got a bags and a windshield, so if I had to, I could prolly tour on it.

I like going places with my wife though, which isn't practical for the sportster...

I've had a Sporty since 1987. Bought a RK in '02 and didn't like it. I bought another RK in '06 and didn't like that one either. Still have the Sportster. Baggers are not for everyone as I much prefer the Sportster.

I went from an Aspencade to a Sportster.
Got sick of riding a 2 wheeled car. Baggers to me just insulate you too much from everything. It's just not riding a motorcycle to me.

I like my Softail. With detachable bags and a detachable windshield I can have both. Mostly ride it around town everyday, but with bags and a windshield, I can go on longer rides too and be comfortable.

I have a 08 softail custom and love that bike!
When it was in the shop for a service I rented an Ultra to check it out and hated it.
It felt like I was in a cage.
I am a big guy and have extended controls on my bike so I think that was part of it.
I could care less about a radio but I do have a windshield and saddle bags on my bike and cannot even fathom riding without them.
I just don't get all that extra bulk and wanting to listen to music when you have that sweet v-twin singing to you.
But to each his own.

Default Ultra to Heritage

Well I traded my 07 ultra for a 09 Heritage. I just could not get comfortable and confident on the Ultra. Not sure why, I have ridden bikes all my life and I traded a RK for the Ultra. So it wasn't like I wasn't use to the touring bikes. Since having the Heritage, I'm riding more and feel right at home on it. So for me it was a good switch.
