I was told by several trusted forum members that good looking women should flash riders going the other way. So far it's worked great. Not recommended for guys though
I've seen the leg extended "wave", but very rarely and most people won't know what it means. I just wave with my non-throttle hand (or my throttle hand if I'm on cruise control) as I go by.
extending the leg could indicate a road hazard of some type.
That is what we do when we ride. If the person is extending there leg your looking for a road hazard on the ground, i.e. road kill, gattors, gravel ect. When passing or with on comming bikes it is just a arm down to the side and a slight wave of the hand.
we hav a wave here in the uk 2, as we go past you we lower r left hand, roll the fingers as if we r holdin a very large hot dog in it n move the wrist up n down? you might want to imagin your holdin a smaller hot dog, if it works for you??????????????

You brits have always been a little strange. I have found that a nod of the head suffices. In the city we might talk at the next light. Hell, we might even decide to stop for a beer As for shakin a leg I would figure you s**t your britches and was just shakin it out.

I don't know about that. I would think any guy who is hung well enough that he could toss it over the handlebars & it be visible to anyone passing, should have enough pride in it to do so.
... not in any way even attempting to imply I could manage such a feat!
