If I didnt have so many other winter projects to deal with I would definitely love to take that on to restore.

She's a 'keeper'.

The speedo and saddlebag (side) stanchions were just on EBAY 'bout a month ago. NOS. Thought the speedo stanchion would look great on my 78, plus I have always wanted one, so I 'watched' them. The speedo stanchion went over 300, the saddlebag side stanchions went over 200, and the saddlebag 'filler' stanchions (used to 'plug' the 4 holes on a hardtail FL fender (pre-57)when saddlebags removed) went to almost 400. So, NO, I still don't have a speedo stanchion.

Proof positive, there are STILL some 'barn finds' out there.

I posted this 'concept' in a flame thread earlier this year. The thread was a put down, for peeps who buy HDs, and then put no miles on 'em. As in scoots for sale on EBAY and Craigslist, ie, 1997 Heritage Springer, 1700 miles, and so on. Well, folks, if it wasn't for these 'new' guys buying 'new' Harley's, and then NOT riding them, finds like this, would be non-existant.
So next time, instead of bashing someone for NOT riding, Thank them. They are just lining up your Grandkid's 'barn finds'.

..it's a cool old bike, but it needs more cowbell..lol..or to be pushed in that pond, buried in mud, only to be resurrected 200 years from now..I can see the people pulling it out, scratching their heads, and saying to themselves.."WTF were they thinking?"
