Tesla Hires former HD exec...
So, Tesla is hoping that the passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles spreads to their Tesla roadster, and to try to achieve this, theyve hired a former HD manager (read more here).
While he may have the experience to help them succeed in Europe, i dont forsee their cars ever having a reputation anything like Harleys...and that was one of the reasons they mentioned in hiring him.
Can one man help someone reach the HD level of owner passion?

It's all about internal combustion, if HD made an electric motorcycle it'd flop. Part of HD's mystique is all the turmoil they've came through without locking the doors, and of course they've been around for over 100 years without drastically changing their engine design. Most people like how noisy and primitive they seem, the people that don't are riding something else and "....you wouldn't understand"
That electric car, I think Mr. van de Sande should have though twice before jumping ship. Them things are only going to appeal to movie stars and basketball players.

May already be not working.
Cause Tesla announced today that they are ceasing R&D and any production on the car for at least the next 6 months because on this car that was suppose to cost $100,000.00 (which would make the market for it iffy at best) they are now another $40,000.00 PER CAR over design cost so that means that the sticker price as it stands right now would now be $150,000.00 a car.

I saw them in concert in Chicago when I was 15. They were AWESOME!!! They had Firehouse open for them. They definetly need to make a comeback.

Great Idea Tesla has but a car has got to get at least 300-500 miles to the charge before many will buy one. Perhaps a small gas/deasel engine to recharge the batteries. 100 miles to the gallon is cetainly reachable.
We've got to conserve gas so we will have enough to run our Harley's and classic cars.
