Tell us if the dealer near you has closed due to the economy.
Only two in CA have been named as closed, but posters "suggest" that this is happening all over the country.
I don't believe it.
Let us all know if your dealer has gone out of business.

I'd like to see someone post a map of the US that tracks the dealerships that have closed...

There are 3 within 20 miles of my place Ft Worth Hd / Texas HD / LongHorn HD... I've heard that Longhorn HD is the #1 seller in the nation and #8 worldwide. I heard this just last week from two guy's I know that work there. EPIC party last saturday, at the 4th annual bike show out at LHD

It's like a carnival there .. Helicoptor rides outback / cigar vendors / boot shine booths / bike washes / live music / FOOD / BEER

Mine is up and running in Lubbock. Same for Odessa, TX; Roswell, NM; and Clovis, NM. I think the one in Albuquerque is going strong.

When times get "tough", the good dealers will survive.
The dealers that are closing were probably the ones "gouging" every customer for every penny they could and then not providing any service.

I find it hard to believe that there would be 7 HD dealers in other countries bigger than US dealers.

It seems that many dealers claim to be the "largest" or 'biggest."

The dealer closest to me in MN told me the other day they are still selling like crazy and can't keep bikes on the floor and I do believe this because it took me 5 months to get a 09' fatboy.
