Are they just rumors?

Is that going to replace the Bell County dealer or is it competition for that dealer?
#24
Only because it was owned by Palm Bay Harley and the new store was getting all the customers. Don't know how many biks they are selling but all my dealings with them have been very good.

Why? Are you keeping count? If it is a good dealer they will survive, if they are a bad one then maybe they deserve to die. Survival of the fittest in the service or commodities catagory really means, "who does best for their customers all the time." Called loyalty. Racine HD is my dealer of choiceTheytreat us like family, know our names, steer us right when we have questions. Wish they were all like that. Maybe an economic downturn is a good thing in someways, gets rid of $ chasing wannabees. JMO

There's only two I know of for sure in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area:

Santa Cruz Harley Davidson in Santa Cruz California

Here in my area of Illinois we have 4 dealerships that seem to be doing well.

There are 4 dealers in riding distance from me, and all seem to be doing just fine.
Southside HD, Hampton Roads HD, Bayside HD, and I can't remember the name of the other one just across the NC border (Currituck HD maybe?).
I haven't asked them how sales have been, but they seem the same to me.

The dealers in the Phoenix area appear to be doing well. There are six of them. One just opened another dealership north of Phoenix (that makes seven), and the one in Mesa just expanded with new buildings.

As far as I know, the many dealers in central Calif are open but slow.
One dealer that I won't mention has been pushed real hard for a couple years to move and open one of those new steel and glass type stores in the high rent part of town.
This dealer has been in the business for over 50 years and does fantastic where they are, albeit a bit of an old store. They have never sold a bike over MSRP when others would try to rape you.
Maybe the MOCO will get off there a$$ and let them get on with selling bikes given the state of things. Heard they want to pull their dealership.
