I find it hard to believe that there would be 7 HD dealers in other countries bigger than US dealers.

It seems that many dealers claim to be the "largest" or 'biggest."

The largest Harley dealer in the world is Barrett Harley Davidson in El Paso Texas. That place is beyond huge and takes up half a block. They own a second dealer across the border in New Mexico as well. I don't know how they do in terms of sales but for size in terms of a footprint big doesn't even come close.

my neareast dealer has sold 1 bike in 3 weeks and has about 40 new bikes sitting around . Parts guy is the one that hands the book over on the bikes and that is who told me this. Dealer has a new owner too, bought the old lummus hd .

My PA dealer says they are moving about three bikes a day. Naples HD, my Florida dealer, well I can only dream that they go out of business. The worst dealer ever. May the economy kill them.

Seattle HD consolidated business by closing thier metric site and moving the metrics in with the HD's. They also layed-off a butt-load of people. Some of those lay-offs have made me consider going to other dealers in the area.

None in Metro Atlanta have closed that I'm aware of. I was in Killer Creek HD this weekend and the place was full of customers in every section of the store, including folks scoping out new bikes.

Motor City Harley is still here but I know they're bike sales are down 70% from last year. Also know they laid some people off. I was there Saturday and there was a TON of used bikes. A lot of Heritage & RK's. There were a couple I wish I couldv'e taken home..

Billings, MT appears to be going strong. I just got a bike from them for what that's worth.
Top notch dealer.

A new multi-million dollar H-D store is going up in Temple, Texas. Be opening in Feb. or Mar. of 09. Things must not be TOO bad down here in The Lone Star State!

I think all dealers are stuggling. There was a poll done a few weeks ago that said many dealers are having to sell bikes under MSRP now. This is a sign of weak demand and dealer profit margins are shrinking....
