Default Solar Trickle Charger that Automatically Shuts Off?

Got this Solar trickle charger for free which says it automatically shuts off.
Thoughts?

Here's the item description:

Portable battery charger allows you to charge your small engine batteries safely. Perfect for motorcycles, snowmobiles, lawn mowers, and for warming your car battery overnight for improved cold weather starting. Automatic feature monitors charge by turning off when full charge is reached and turning on when charge falls below desired level. W-6¼", D-3½", H-4½".

You are better off with a Battery Tender (float charger). Less than $20 at Walmart. Use the Search function here on the forum and enter "Battery Tender", I'm sure there are hundreds of posts on the subject.

Got it from a friend who never used it and just sold his rice burner.
Since tenders are so cheap, I'll probably go with cHarley advice and other posts I've read here, play it safe and just buy one.

Question

Solar charger? Then how does it go about "warming your car battery overnight"?

Seriously, a Battery Tender Jr. is a great item, had mine for over 4 years with no problems. Bought it at Pep Boys for under $20.00.

Where I keep my 1998 Ultra I have no power so I bought one of those solar powered battery chagers:

I'll know here in a couple weeks if its worth its price and did its job.
