Default Harley Funnel

H-D sells a fuel funnel Part Number 99894-09.

The Fill & Go fuel tank adapter eliminates fuel spills and splash back during fill-ups, and reduces time at the pump. Just insert the Fill & Go over the fuel pump nozzle, and begin filling-up. When the pump clicks off, your tank is full, with no need to top off the tank. Kit includes Fill & Go tank adapter and a convenient storage pouch.

Has anyone used this item? Does it really stop splashes and fill to the a top off?

Nope, what do you do with the funnel that's wet with gas after you're done filling up? More trouble than it's worth IMO.

I can see where anyone could accidentally spill a few drops of gas on their tank, now an then.
If it constantly happens, to the point that you need help putting gas in the tank, you might not be coordinated enough to operate a motorcycle.

If you cant fill your bike without spilling gas, maybe you should be riding a BMW and going to the full serve island.

I've not had an issue filling the tank...only spilled once when I first got the bike...learned the lesson and nvr again...I think it's a bunch of marketing crap...really...how much time are you saving with a 5gal fillup?? It's not like filling up a semi...just something else HD invented to grab more $$... and yeah, what do you do with the thing after your done??? Put it in a saddle bag where it can smell like gas all the time....I think not!

Wouldn't waste my money on it. Actually another company came out with that first but cant think of the name. Plus even if it came with a pouch were do you carry it? Not everyone has a tool bag or saddle bags. Think it would be more of a hassle to use it than not.
