Whoa, dude...
Don't run away away from these guys B/S so soon... It makes ya look bad. You ask the question, you got different answers (that's what they do here) Try the product if you want, if it works for you, great, if not your only out a few bucks, much cheaper than buying a BMW and finding out it don't work any better on that.

ONE WORD> PAPERTOWEL! or is that two words??? either way, I Put a papertowel around the filler in case of splash or spill, I seem to top off even after the nozzel stops. In my area theres a paper towel depenser at the pump.

I'm amazed at all the people who think there is never a problem with some gas pumps that have an extremely heavy lever pull, or those that seem to only have "full on" or off. Around town, I know which gas stations to use and which to avoid - but, I find it hard to believe all you naysayers have managed to travel outside of town and never encountered a pump that's a pain in the ***.

Having said that, I still manage without a funnel - some times I grab a paper towel to catch and splash. I agree that having the wet funnel - even in a pouch, would seem to be an issue. Maybe a smart manufacturer would make it with some type of clip that would allow you to pop it onto the frame or something.

I happen to have one of the McCuff models and use it when i am filling up on the road. ALot of places require the recirculation pumps with the vacuum sleeve over the nozzle.

Using the funnel makes filling up a splash free process and ya dont have to try and hold the suction device and monitor the fuel flow at the same time.

If ya dont like it, dont get it . . .

I wipe it off with a paper towel located at the pump before I put it back in the storage case.

It sits in my lower glove box and doesnt smell or mess anything up.

Do I use it every time i fill up? Nope, but I am glad I have it when i hit strange pumps away from home. And yes, My 08 has pretended to be Ole Faithful once already so I am trying to avoid that in the future.

I have never seen it, but I am still capable enough of putting gas in my scoot without any spills.

I guess I don't get these gimmicks. If you don't have time to be careful when putting the nozzle in ... do you really have time to unpack and then pack the little doohickie?
