Another idea... I really only need room for my RK Custom... what do you guys think about the little 5x8 enclosed trailers? I like the small size, low price, easy towability. Yes, I know it is very limited... but other than small capacity, can this be a good choice for a lower priced Road King trailer?

Don't do it. I bought the 6 x 12 with the intention of hauling one bike---now I do two. Wished I have got the 7 x 14.

I have a 8x16 ft and I wouldn't want one any smaller. I have hauled as many as 3 bikes and all our gear with no problems. I am sure I could get 4 in, but it would be tight plus it would be a lot to pull with my Yukon. But I really bought it to haul my RKC and my wife's Fatboy and to sleep in once in a while. I agree with the poster about the side door and about the ramp door. It is so nice just to open the back door and ride up in the trailer. I also recommend buying one that is tall enough to walk around in comfortably.

JB... I'm certain that my "two bike" needs will be so rare that I will not wish I had bought a bigger trailer for that reason. But it did occur to me that getting around the bike to tie it down could be a royal PITA in a 5x8, dang it.

Also wondering about trailer sway. Is it caused by over/improper loading? If I don't over load a single axle trailer and I do load it properly, can I pretty much not worry about sway? Now I'm gravitating toward a 6x10 or 6x12 single axle.
