Caterpillar boots here. Best boot out there to ride all day long in.

I see all this shoe thing. How many people wear bike boots with steel toes for protection not style. I do wear steel toe shoe for the protection I do have steel toe tennis shoes and boots that I wear riding from time to time. A leather shoe or boot at any is not going to stop your feet from being broken up at a crash without real protection build in.

I always wear boots. As the saying goes, Dress for the crash, not the ride.

That's the way I see it. You can do whatever you want, though.

yeah i wear shoes most of the time, i feel they are more comfortable... plus my toe of the boot is thick where the shifter wont return to the home position, but if the tennis shoes.. i have no problem. But, remember... To Each There Own

this is sort of like the helmet, jacket, pants discussion.....
I'll throw all of my gear on just to do a test spin around the block...

Summer = NB tennis shoes (with white socks, gasp..)

Winter = Boots

Also wear Rockport deck shoes. Very comfortable.

Only wear leather when it's cold (leather jacket 105*..gotta be kiddin")

Dress for the crash...AGATT All the gear? Nope...gonna dress comfortable. And I don't wear a parachute when flying nor a condom for sex..

But I'm a little crazy....too each their own. Whatever makes you comfy..
