Default Moki Dugway

A few of my buds and I are plannin on ridin out to the Grand Canyon next June. We're gonna ride thru the Four Corners and Monument Valley area first. One of the guys wants to ride the Moki Dugway on our way north from Mexican Hat. If ya never heard of the Moki Dugway, check out this video of it. If the rest of 'em ride it...I will...but I'll have to dig my gonads outta my gut when we get to the bottom.

Nice vid! That'll get you tuned up for coming right on up to do the Beartooth Highway down from Yell. Park. Massive experience... paved, and no diamondbacks sunning themselves on the road!

Its cool, just ride down it. Peeps have been known to have a little trouble going up it. If your going in June pack some water. Its a hot *** place.

I rode a road like that near Cave Creek, nothing but air on one side. It would have been great if I didn't have an extreme aversion to heights.

So does that road actually connect point A to point B, or do you ride down it and then have to come back up to resume your trip?

no you just go south of Blanding Utah, take 95 east then I think its 261 south off the dugway then end up in Mexican Hat.

Yeah Laz...it connects point A to B...the Moki Dugway is a 3-mile section of UT-261 that runs 'tween Mexican Hat, UT and UT-95 just east of the Natural Bridges National Monument in southeast Utah. We're plannin on ridin up to Torrey, UT and then takin Scenic Utah 12 back down to Bryce Canyon and Zion before headin to the Big Ditch in Arizona.

Oh yeah...Big Sled...I've done the Beartooth, and yer right...it IS an incredible ride!

It's a connecting road. I've been there in a car, and it's really not that bad. Looks scarier from afar than when you are actually traversing it. Awesome scenery from some of the pulloffs. It's on my "don't miss" list.

Don't think I would be driving and videoing on that road at the same time.,,
