I don't know where you are located but these guys have some really SWEET deals and they are accepting offers.

As Kenny told me they have a lot of puppies in the pound that need homes.

2004 RKC only 8K miles asking $14,000.00

I would be all over that one if I was shopping.

Good luck finding what you want and ENJOY

This sounds like a great deal to me. 30K is not that much for a 5 year old bike and 10.5K is a good price. Chit, my 7 month old Sporty has 11K miles. I say go for it.

have you looked online, like at chopper exchange.com or cycle trader.com or auto-rv.com, just do your homework first, we have found 3 really good deals on nice well cared for bikes that way, just dont buy on impulse, take the time to check them out first.

Know the blue book prices on the bikes you're looking at. You can expect a dealer will want about $2,000 more for any given bike than a private seller would ask for the same bike.

With people already concerned about the economy, there are a lot of good deals out there. Take your time to find the bike you want, and don't be afraid to walk away from the deal if you can't get it for the price you want.

I picked up my '02 Wide Glide from a private seller this past August for $9,900. It had 14,000 miles on it.

Depending on what you are looking for I would look at the new stuff, prices are down but used bikes seem to still be pulling good prices. I saw a brand spankin new super glide for under 14 grand, sort of plain but that also gives you room to make it your own. I would not consider a used les it was something special or a real good price.
As far as mileage, my son picked up a 2002 (I think) FXDP that runs like a stipped ape for around 9 and it has 42 grand on it but still is in great shape. I have had my FXDF for almost exactly one yr and it has 29 grand on it. Still runs fine, I figure next yr Ill do a big bore to freshen it up some.

I live in North Carolina... I and most of my friends ride about 15-25 thousand miles a year... and I know people who ride under 5 thousand.... People either ride, or they have "something else to do"

Once you find a bike you like... at the price you like... just GET it, and be done with it. If you decide to "keep looking a while longer" it might drop in price, or it might get sold.

Stopped by a local dealership last month. an 08 RG on the showroom floor... 105 Aniv model. discounted came to 17.3k, and '07 used RG... not THAT much chrome was listed for 16.5k... if'n i was in the market (I'm not) I can't see "saving $800" by buying used....but that's MY view.

I expect to SAVE a sizeable chunk of change when I buy used. And I agree... I'd rather buy a 30k bike, that's been taken care of, than some garage queen, that hasn't. But you'll do what you want to do, anyway.

I don't know... but I get a chuckle out of what some people consider high mileage...
