Chippewa Leather boots
3 pair Socks
Long Johns, sweat pants, and Carhart heavy overalls
T-shirt,sweat shirt, flanel shirt, and Leather jacket
Lee Parks PCi guantlets
Long muffler wrapped to exclude cold air from my neck and up into my helmet
Shoei full face with all of the vents closed

Ride down to 30 degrees with this setup.
Do not ride much below 30 degrees because 2 wheels and ice do not go together on public roads

I've got some flannel lined jeans from LL Bean. For insulated, try Carhartt.

Cold climate riding.. Yea, love it!! Bundle up w/ leather head to toe outside, fleece jeans, fleece long johns, wool, and only wool socks, Cowboy boots, electric vest with electric arm chaps, and one long sleeve fleece top... 25-30 degrees is about it. Too much risk in going around a corner to meet some ice... NO BUGS THOUGH!!!

3/4 HJC helmet
Full face beard
T-shirt, sweatshirt, fleece jacket, leather jacket
Long johns, draggin' jeans, Olympia overpants
1 pair of wool socks with Timberline steel toes
Hippo hands with summer weight gloves

24 degrees when I left out Friday morning for an 80 mile ride to meet a riding buddy. He arrived with a cold Bud Light. I was plenty warm until I took my gloves off to pop the top on that beer.

lots of ski stuff

I wear a textile MC jacket, but wear my skiing soft shell under it--warmer than the jacket liner

ski gloves--very warm

lycra or silk bottoms under the jeans--all I need

full face helmet

a skiing neck gaiter if it's real cold

now I just have to figure out how to get rid of all the ice...

I use a 3/4 helmet, heavy neck tube, Tourmaster jacket liner, Harley Switchback jacket, Under armor leggings, jeans, chaps, smart wool socks, Seals-skin socks and leather boots. The Seals-skin socks block out the wind from penetrating the boots and work real well. The Tourmaster jacket liner is fantastic. Couldn't ride without it.

Been in 38 degrees riding at 55mph in the sleet. Wasn't cold, per se, but the sleet stung. I was comfortable enough with:

Long handles
Jeans
T-shirt
One of them flannel shirt-jac's
M65 field jacket with liner
Walmart wind and rainproof winter cheapo gloves
Regular pair of cotton socks
Browning boots, these :http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/0...x-For-Men.html

A watch cap under the half-helmet for the ears
A cheapo black fleece scarf for the nose and chin
Cheapo clear goggles

Hopefully my Harley mitts I won on e-bay will be here Monday. Leather with the sheep fur (whatever it's called) lining and nice long gauntlet to cover the sleeves. Mittens, not gloves. Can't afford any other leather at the moment or I'd have a nice thick leather jacket to help stop the wind (Oh yeah, I also sometimes put some newspaper under the t-shirt to stop the wind whenever I 'feel' cold), and a StormGear Balaclava/Dickie Combo.
