04 Road King Motor mounts

what kind of mount did you put in? HD?
I replaced my front mount with a velva ride and I'm very happy with it. Less vibration at Idle and only slightly more vibration thru floorboards at speed but it's not really a noticable difference unless you are really looking for it and becomes even less as you break the mount in. Neoprene dampening material will outlast stock rubber.

Thanks and yes HD However I found a bulletin (M-1182) for a improved mount. My replacement was the old part #. Also I may get credit for the broken one per the bulletin. I will look into the Vela ride.

If you are looking at the hour glass shaped one, you may find that your idle vibration will be even greater. There has been a lot of discussion about replacement mounts and it seems none of harleys mounts are not holding up very well for some reason.

Proper orientation of motor mounts
The new style motor mounts are installed with the flat surface up. The old style had them down. Maybe you've installed it upside down.
