Default Harley Scale Models

When I was a kid I liked putting together plastic car models. I was thinking it might be kind of fun to put together a model of a harley. Do any of you on this forum do that and if so where do you get them?? I have seen a few on ebay but haven't really checked anywhere else. Thanks.

If you want a quality product then get ready to put down some $$. A decent Testors HD model will run you over $70. Unfortunately the modeling companies aren't really up to date on models so your choices are a little limited. Here's one I did a year or so back.

It came out okay but it only proved that I was no better at this at the age of 50 than I was at the age of 10.

I put this one together last winter. It's a Testor's metal model, there are some plastic pieces you have to use glue on but the majority is metal and screws. I found this one on Craig's list for $50.

You should consider one of those 1:1 scale models you find at the junk yards. They're way more fun after you done with assembly.

Italeri makes a great WLA Harley 1:9. Low miles too.

Check out EBAY. I found some Franklin Mint Harleys there, but, also some kits from Revel and Testors, even older bikes pop up if you keep searching, I actually found a 1996 Softail Springer Bad Boy model same color as mine.
$45.

I recently found a Testors kit of my exact model, the Springer Softail. They also had several other models in stock. It is a 1:9 scale and I’m really impressed with the detail.

Unfortunately their website is rather dismal, and lists only two Harley models, yet I saw several in the shop, including Sportsters etc.

Herewith some pictures of the model.

Cheers

KC
