I've been looking at what some of the masters have been doing lately and his work is with them. Wow - can't say enough! Love the rust and blued pipes. Holy Crap!!!!! I never looked back at this thread.

I quit building models years ago but managed to start collecting the 1:18 scale die-cast motorcycles from all brands and all years. I collect the 1:64 scale die-cast 18 wheelers too. At present I have around 200 of them in total and about 60 of them are Harley. When you look at these it's interesting how little the cruisers have changed where the sportbikes and sport touring bikes have made huge changes over the years. All the kids want to open them up and play with them so from time to time I will buy them a few that they can open so they always leave mine alone. They're a great way to walk down history lane when it comes to bikes and some are hard to come by.

Did you guys open up Bbsbase Flikr link and check them out?
The detail is amazing. Especially the junk FLH. I'd swear it's the real thing!
He has a photo of the original bike in one of the pics - can't tell the difference between the model and the original thing.
If you're still around Bbsbase - chime in.

Man, does this bring back memories! I used to love to put models together! I like that Testor's 1/6 scale for $70 plus shipping. The thing weighs over 6 pounds and is 15" long when completed!
If I thought I would have the patience to put it together, I'd buy it right now...

If you want a quality product then get ready to put down some $$. A decent Testors HD model will run you over $70. Unfortunately the modeling companies aren't really up to date on models so your choices are a little limited. Here's one I did a year or so back.

It came out okay but it only proved that I was no better at this at the age of 50 than I was at the age of 10.
