Default New attitude about chrome

Well I have to admit, I have always thought of chrome as the stuff of trailer queens and garage ornaments. However, My new ride is a lowrider and it came loaded with chrome. I was really dreading cleanup days with all of that chrome to polish. So I rode home from work in the rain the other day the next morning the bike looked as if I had spattered it with a chocolate milkshake. After rinsing it down real good, I sprayed it down with S-100 and wiped it down with a clean cloth. Rinsed it again and man was I surprised how fast that chrome returned to its previous luster with little effort. I am sold for good now. Looks good with little effort, my kinda stuff.

Chrome might not get you home but it will get you laid!!! I've chromed just about everything I could. Nothing like riding in the summer with a bike thats chromed out, really draws attention.

The main enemy of chrome is a ride in the rain. Wash it down without waiting too long and it will shine like new. It just isn't that hard to keep a chromed out bike looking good!

Polishing chrome and keeping my rides pretty isn't my style but they do get washed once in a while, not out there to impress anyone just ride......BUT.......I think I will give them a good once over this winter being I got layed off.....might be a good time to THINK about rebuilding the shov..

When I ride home in the rain, I wipe the bike down as soon as I pull it into the garage. It only takes a few minutes, and I avoid having to deal with water spots later.

I wasn't a fan of chrome until I bought my Road King and it had some extra chrome. I still only like it in moderation.
