That's what I liked about my Nightrain, very little chrome. The I traded it off on the SG and began to buy little bits of chrome for it and now I've even put a few chrome pieces on the Superglide which WAS all black. Guess I'm coming down with a case of chromeaholic, too.

After rinsing it down real good, I sprayed it down with S-100 and wiped it down with a clean cloth. Rinsed it again and man was I surprised how fast that chrome returned to its previous luster with little effort. I am sold for good now. Looks good with little effort, my kinda stuff.
I'm a newbie as far as cleaning my bike and I admit I don't spend a lot of time doing it.... but I'm curious. What product from the S-100 line do you use?

The s-100 was no good for me, left white spots all over everything. I use meguiars detailer spray. It doesn't leave white spots, or blue spots like the Harley gloss. Also love 50/50 water greased lightning for tires and rims. Supposedly the best for chrome is ammonia. Anyway, I hardly have any chrome on my bike so it isn't a big deal.

IMHO...........

Biggest trick is to not DRY wipe the bike !
( Important with paint as well. )

When washing dont skimp on soap... use a good soap, and enough of it, soap lubricates surfaces so dirt "Slides" off non-abrasively.
*Soap Note*
If you use a harsh/strong "Stripping" soap, you will need to wax more frequently, as the soap will strip wax during washings.

After a good wash, a good chrome polish... there are several.
Try to avoid "Quick Touch-Ups" with detail sprays, cuz you will inadvertently scratch the surface.
Those sprays are made to "Dust" a bike.... NOT clean it !

If you waxed and polished everything correctly, a quick squirt of the hose and a mild soapy microfiber for bugs and tuff spots.... add a leaf blower and you're in and out in 15 minutes.
Now if you choose, use that detail spray to get any water spots you may have missed.

RESIST DRY WIPING THE BIKE !
