Gas station air hoses and a flat
Rear tire was low today. I could feel the tail waving.
So how are you supposed to get those gas station air hoses to fit behind the brake?
The Ultra doesn't leave much room except from below. By the time I got it on I was filthy and the time ran out.
So I rode home. That's when I saw the nail. Second one this year. The last one was in the front tire. First year ever.

Gas station air hoses around here cost 75 cents, or $1... when they work (which is rarely). They have a pissant little compressor that doesn't work for **** usually. I just avoid them. I have two compressors. I bought a second one because I brought my first one to work a couple years ago, and haven't brought it home since - so I bought another one for home. If I need air on the road, I'll stop at a tire place or a quick lube place and ask them to air it up for me. I've never had anyone say no, and never had any of them charge me anything for it.

I picked up one of these a Wally World for $23. Measures 7" x 5.5" x 2.5", completely self contained. Paying for air is NUTZ.

I bought a pair of right angle valve stem extensions for my bike off the internet. I got tired of fighting those 45 degree angled air chucks and pressure guages. I have tubed tires and the extensions work well. No air loss from either one. Just search for valve stem extentions on the internet and you will find several dealers.
