It's not rocket science, especially in these economic times.

humbuster wins the prize. This is exactly whats going on, lending procedures are tightening and are probably going to get worse. I read an article the other day about a guy with less than perfect credit wanted to buy a 60k vehicle and was putting 45k cash down and was denied a loan. Cash is definitely king, a dealer may want to try and sell you on financing just to get the extra spiff out of the deal but deep down they know cash is a for sure thing, at least the smart ones do. As new lending procedures are instituted over time it's going to become harder and harder to finance motorcycles in my opinion.
