Default half or shorty helmet wind noise?

I'm looking for a new helmet. I have a half helmet now but want something with less wind noise in my ears. I'm thinking of a Bell Shorty or one like it. Has anyone road with a half helmet and then a shorty helmet and noticed any difference in wind noise? I know I could use ear flaps but I was hoping I wouldn't need to with a shorty. Just for round town and short day trips.

I wear an Arai full face. My bike has an electronically adjustable windscreen. I always wear foam earplugs or noise canceling in ear earbuds when connected to my intercom system. If you want to keep your hearing, I would highly recommend ear protection while riding a motorcycle. You can still hear what's going on around you and you will feel less fatigued after riding. Wind noise can really take a toll on your hearing and it creeps up on you before you know it.

Hmm, I didn't know Harley made a electronically adjustable windscreen?.... And I love my Scorpion half better than any full face.
