Sunday morning about 9:30 am riding just north of Brooksville Fl. Notice out of the corner of my right eye. Something moving, fast. Let off the throttle. Huge buck comes flying across the road in front of me. Hit the binders hard, not enough to lock them up. He crosses in front of me maybe 15 to 20 feet in ahead of me. So much for my leisurely ride!
Just wanted to remind everyone the deer are going into rut. Now I have reminded myself.

Yea I've got a 30 mi. ride to work in Gainesville before daylight. They try to get me all the time. gotta be real cautious. I think they are trying to pay me back for all their ancestors I've killed and eaten.

There moving around my area like Army ants right now. I guess it’s going to be a good season this year for deer hunting.

I counted 30 (round trip) on FL SR87 Sat night. None of them moved, but still a bit nerve wracking. Glad you missed him.

I've never seen as many deer as I did on the Natchez Trace last week end. I quit counting after 10. Luckily none of them tried crossing the road.

Coming back to sarasota from plant city the first of the month, we had two pigs really close to the road and saw several deer on rte.39 and 62 coming out thru the country about 9:30 that night. Gotta watch this time of year with the rut and cooler weather, everythings moving around at night.

I live in Bucks County, PA and it is one of the highest areas of Deer Crashes in the US. I drive like an old old man when it is night or dusk.
