looking at a 2001 wide glide with 24000 miles. its basicly stock too. are there any trouble spots or concerns for this year and model?

No, there were problems with the early TC88 but most of the bugs should have been worked out by 2001. Good Luck!

Anytime Harley comes out with a new engine, there are always a few tweaks along the way. HD replaced the Evolution engine with the TC88 in 2000. The 2001 Wide Glide should be a great ride.

 

TC88 cam out in 1999 for all but the Softail line. Had cam plate issues for one. The Softail has a balanced engine and came out in 2000.

 

My '99 has the TC88A. The only problem I ever had was the Crank Position Sensor gave out. She's got 64,000 miles, hopefully I'll get a bunch more before rebuilding.
