I’m looking at buying my 1st pair of leather chaps. What do I need to look for as far as fit? Any Harley brand alternatives that might better quality or cost less.

 

Check out Fox Creek leather. Don't have any of their chaps, but have two coats, a vest and gloves from them and their products are top quality at a good price. Made right here in the USA and they have great customer service.

 

Assless, and don't forget the fingerless gloves also.

Good prices, decent quality. Jackets run small. Chaps are usually about normal size.

 

acctualy the harley chapes are good ones compaired to the junk at swap meets. I have the harley "basic" un lined ones you will have to trim them to lenth but they are good quality at a decient price and buy a pair of flice or flannel lined jeans or just consider a gerbings electric suit before you go and spend a lot of money on leather and you still won't be as warm as electric

 

Geez, if you're gonna buy leather, buy something that will actually protect you. Get some leather over pants, spend anywhere from $150.00 to $850.00 (Langitz). Literally, "protect your a$$"!

 

My cheap $80.00 pair of chaps from the local indy shop a couple years ago have been great. Saved my skin when they were needed to and kept me warm. Who the hell spends $850 on chaps?? That's overkill.

 

I got the Harley basic chaps. they work and fit fine.

 

after you purchase your chaps, don't forget to ask for your rainbow sticker,,,,,,then put it on your helmet.
