Braso works pretty good. Doesn't get all over either.

 

Screw all that crap that can strip off your paint. Was at a Renegade Classic shop this summer and two guys come in to see the owner. Their hoping to get him to carry this product that they are dist. Outside was a Sportie that looked like it was crapped on by a dozen or so cows. These guys have this Colonel Brassey stuff and what they did with this stuff had me and my buddy grinning ear to ear. Stuff cleaned boot marks, rust and everything else. Goggle and get this stuff.

 

I melted my rain suit and burnt a boot heel on the muffler this summer on a two week trip. After we got home and the bike cooled, I picked the nylon globs off with a pop cicle stick and removed the rest with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I also use Shout stain remover and a 1 1/2 inch paint brush to clean spoke wheels. All ideas from forum members. Also going to google Colonel Brassey as cdestuck suggested.

 

Easy Off Oven Cleaner.......just make sure you don't get it on anything else.
