Riding Boots?
#11
I just got a pair of Dr.Marten 10 eye lace ups from shoebuy.com. Had martens as a cook for 15 years. I wear them at work unloading trucks @ wal-mart and for daily walking. Softest leather boot I have had, plus has the airwalk insole. Around $100 w/ free shipping.

Hey maddoggreene, if you haven't pulled the trigger yet on the Milwaukee boots, give a look at the Harley Rainmakers. Very comfortable and really well built. I have walked the better part of the day in them and never once felt sorry I was wearing them.
While they have some insulation, they are surprisingly cool in the summer and yet have been nice and warm so far in temps down to 30F and waterproof to boot (pun intended). I bought some on line from bootbay.com for $120. They don't come in widths beyond medium, but I have a wide foot and I am very happy with the fit. If your foot is narrow then they may be a bit roomy. They are side zips, but because they have a full gusset liner behind the zipper they are snug to get into. I usually just tie them.
Not sure who makes them but they look a lot like the Cabella's Outfitter Series Pro Hunter only the Harely boots are black.
Good luck
