I leave my high beam on all the time unless somebody flashes me. The headlight on a Softail Custom is just one step up from useless.

High beams during the day is a waste of the filament.Humans are humans and are bound to make mistakes.I drive a bucket truck all day and somehow I here people say they did not see me.If you think it makes a difference your choice for sure.

There's only 10 wattts difference between low and high beam, not enough to make much difference on your voltage regulator. There is a heck of lot of difference in visibility, especially on many of the smaller headlights Harley uses on some models. Low beam hardly shows up in the day time.

Always ride with the high beam. Better to be seen by others. My wife rides behind me and her high beam does not bother me. It makes her easer to find in the mirror. Orange tshirt also helps.

I barely even use the high beam at night. +1 on what the trucker said above. Some people just ain't gonna see ya no matter what. That's why the only way to ride is defensively.

as a hd head light wobbles about so much i feel it could be taken for me flashing somebody out of a side road so i use dipped head light during the day, next thing they might want me to wear a dayglo vest while ridin, bikers in the uk have enough problems with the police closin down meetin places & shows they dont need any help from us, thats a british view on it. did you know that in parts of aus you can get banged up if your seen mixin with 1% more than 5 time a year?

i notice a big difference in pullouts with one light on instead of the triples on. I rigged my driving lights to run on hi or low. The new bullship i see is people running thru the stop and only stopping if they see someone coming or if they are stopped they let off the brake and jump foward 2 feet. I f-ing hate thase idiots.
