You know, a person would think that a twenty-something year old male would have a bit more "smarts"!............. I suppose NOT!

Picture in your mind what happens if that blows at 70MPH on the highway surrounded by traffic.

Go do it, now.

I had a blow out at 70 on the highway... it wasn't fun. Mine wasn't a worn out tread issue, but a debris on the road issue though.

If he didnt take care of it, take care of it for him... with a nail.

While I agree with all that has been posted on this, one actually two things come to mind.
1 what everyone is suggesting is technically illegal. Damage to someone elses property. (Mind you I said I have the same feelings).
Also that will cause hard feelings between you and your stepson.
Two wrongs don't make it right!
But it seems that he is taking care of it so the answer is moot!
Just sayin

Hope he gets the tire changed. For his own safety... and perhaps he'll lay off the burnouts and take better care of this one.

Stick a knife in it as quite a few have suggested ! My best buddy and his wife were killed on his bike with a bald front tire , no other vehicle involved , wish I had cut it !!!

Have a kid at our church, just getting his license. No MSF course, knows everything, got himself a crotch rocket. Scoffs at the mention of the MSF class. He's got a cute wife and two beautiful kids. I'll keep ya posted when she becomes a widow.....he's invincible, tougher than anyone and dumber than a rock.
Stick a knife in his tire.
