First bike was a Yamaha 175. Then a Honda CX 500.

 

First was a Honda CT-50 I got out of a couple's garage. It had been sitting for several years. Paid $50 for it, cleaned the carbs and took off. They called my dad pissed that a 13 year old had "ripped them off", so I was made to take it back to them. I still tell dad he should have told them to buzz off.

 

I bought myself a used Honda mini-trail 50 when I was about 6 or 7. I have another 1970 one now that my grandkids have all learned to ride on. I still like to take it for a ride now and then too but I am 300 pounds and 6'4" so it really looks funny now.

 

Honda 50 when I was 11 years old and weighed about 50 lbs.

 

When I was 5, summer of 1969, my dad brought home a used green mini bike. We worked on it and got it running. To this day when I smell wd-40 it takes me straight back to those summer nights in the garage with the mini bike.

Mine was a Yellow 69 I got it in 71 for my 10th birthday.

I have a Polaroid (remember them!!?) of me doing a (very lame) wheelie, but I'm too effen lazy to find it and post it on photobucket. Just take my word for it LOL!!

 

Guess I can keep the resurrected thread going.......early 70's a 4hp Ruttman Mini bike, black of course. Then some dirt bikes like most others. First street bike was a '80 Kawasaki 750 CSR parallel twin. Put a lot of miles on that bike riding it everywhere.
