1976 Suzuki TS250 which I bought new. I still have the bike. I put a hotter NKG plug in it in '77, never pulled or cleaned the plug since, and she'll still start within 5 kicks. Runs real good, too They did the auto oil injector right on that thing.

I shared a Suzuki 80 with my brother. My first bike was a 74 550 Honda, 1976 XLCH, and now an 07 E'glide.

around 1970 this was my first "motorcycle", a QA50 Honda, 2-speed automatic. I was almost 10 years old. Dad got it for me. Up until then it had been mini bikes!!

This is a good thread!

First bike: Me and a friend went 50/50 on a 1981 Suzuki GS550L

First bike that was all mine: 1982 Suzuki GS850L

First new bike: 1992 Suzuki VX800 bought as a hold-over in 1993. Dealers could not give them away, but it was a great bike. It was my only transportation for three years, and I put over 46K on it in 4 years. No problems other than it had an appetite for clutches … I foolishly sold it for next to nothing. Should have kept it …

So there is at least three of us who feel victim to the beautiful beast ..

It was fast , it had sorry suspension and the frame flexed something awful ..

I think they called it "mechanical valve lifting device" instead of compression release , if it hung up you could tear up a top end , ask me how I know this ..

It ate points , the brakes and shocks faded in minutes ..

When it ran it ran , and when it was down it was down hard ..

Loved it , wish I could find another ..

Oh and it could be very hard to start ..

I had a 67 , uumm what'd they call it , a mono block ??

First in 1966 was a Harley 250, two stroke street bike conversion of their dirt track racer. Harley didn't do the conversion - was someone else. It had Harley logos all over it though.
Second in 1968 was a BMW Victor Special 441.
Third was a 69 Harley Ironhead I rode throughout my college days.
Eleven or so later is this 03 Aniversary FLSTFI
Then I add a 79 XLH.

1985 Kawasaki KLR 250 bought brand new from the military dealer in Kaiserslautern Germany. I was 19 and doing something my parents had strictly forbidden me from doing. It felt great to ride that thing off of the lot! I haven't been without a bike since then.
