what bike is the best drag racing platform? im not going full bodied dragster like in NHRA. Im looking to have a Stree/Drag bike.

a bike looking normal like one on the street, but will tear it up at the track.

what motor would be best to start with also.

 

HD made the Vrod Destoyer in 2005 for drag racing.

They did not sell well if I remeber correctly. You would defenently want a Vrod platform to build a fast bike.

 

I would imagine a Hayabusa. There's a tremendous amount of performance stuff out there for them (nitrous, turbos, wide-tire kits, extended swingarms, removeable wheelie bars, etc).

 

well im looking to build one.. I remember going to the track when i was younger seeing FXRs and things like that so im trying to find what would the best platform would be

ive been looking at the photos of the AHDRA and it seems there is ALOT of sportsters and Vrods

 

 

You might want to look for a used vrod and put a turbo charger on it. I think they put out about 160 hp.

 

I assume you are looking for a Harley-only platform.
