You really should quit whining, its unbecoming. I think you are just mad because the cop was smarter than you gave him credit for and now your throwing a tantrum like a kid.

Now if barney fife would have confiscated your wheels just because of your lid... now this would have been something to complain about.

One more thing... You expect us to believe that you were really doing exactly 55 the whole time you were traveling thru our state ??
And I'm sure you never broke a traffic law in your life either.

Sorry to hear about your ticket bro.
My opinion - for what's worth - is: wear what you want.
I'm tired of the Gov telling me what to do...

Default Helmet

Just wear one of those small clown hats next time you ride! I'd tell them "I can't wear a dot helmet because of the plate in my head"

If caught in Pennsylvania with a non-DOT helmet the fine is $250.00. My MSF instructor who is a retired PA cop told me that. He gave me crap because I put a sticker over top of the DOT sticker. He wouldn't let me take the class until I pulled my sticker off and showed him that my helmet was DOT approved.

That's prob very true. Saw the Ohio tag (knowing we don't have a helmet law) and he thought he might get lucky.

It’s your right to ride without a helmet, but it’s not my obligation to pay for your medical bills.
Many people use that same reasoning about people riding motorcycles in general.

Guy that taught my MSF course is a moto cop here in The Great State of Texas, and he says they can pull you over for no other reason than to check your helmet to see if it's DOT....Ain't that grand.....
