Go out and get a new bike pococj and see for your self. It will do 100 before getting out of 3rd gear. And we have 6 speeds.

Got an '07 Nightster. It ran out of gas (HP) before the rev limiter cut out. Think it hit between 115 - 120, but I was too busy to get a good look.

6 speeds means nothing. It'll run out of HP long before redline in 6th gear, and probably before redline in 5th gear.

The proof is in a time slip at the track, or in a li'l chunk of paper from THE MAN. Both of 'em cost money. Anything else is conjecture and/or hearsay.

Laura Klock is my boss, so I feel a little educated on this, far from knowing everything though.

Riding on salt for a seven mile stretch is different than a highway. It's more like riding on a gravel road than asphalt.

I've gone 170 on a crotch rocket on a highway, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna go try it on the salt, on any type of bike.

Heh, heh, felt like a loose gravel road on the short stretch I did. Sorta made me suck the seat up into my hinder parts.

Kinda makes you appreciate the worlds fastest Indian even more, his record still hasn't been broken.

Yes it's a two way street on the salt flats for records to be made or broken, 150+ is not standing still by no means.
