If it were well maintained, adult ridden it wouldn't bother me at all. If it were ridden by some of the yahoos I see around here pulling wheelies down highway 90 @ 100+mph it would bother me and I'd pass.
Speed shifting is shifting without the clutch.
JWB has a point though, if the tranny is good now, you can run it until you have to part it out.

Nice. Sounds good then. I think I'll be buying it then! He says it hasn't been ridden hard, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I'll keep you guys updated. Definitely going "street fighter" on this bike!

I'm sure it will still handle pretty well, and considering I live in south Florida, I don't exactly need a crazy leaning angle ride, ya know? I'll keep you updated!

donr: Thanks for the reply as well. I have heard about that weak 2nd gear. I guess I'll see if I can take a test ride on it before I buy it. But exactly what do you mean the 2nd gear being weak. It just doesn't shift very well, or what? What would it take to fix that problem, if it is a problem?

Cheers,
Adrian
You need the lean angle most in an accident avoidance maneuver which without it can cost you or your gf your lives. Flat ground has nothing to do with it.
