Default Turn Signal bulb change?

Iv'e had my bike for nearly 6 years now but when i was cleaning it the other day i looked at turn signals and thought how do you get in to change the bulb if i ever need to? I guess you have to loosen off the stem so that the bulb holder comes away. Don't wanna appear to be a complete twonk but am i on the right lines?

Try popping off the lens cover.

The lens should pop off with the help of a coin or screwdriver. Then just push in and twist the bulb to release. Or you could use a turnscrew!!!

+1 - look at the underside and there should be a small gap where you can insert a coin or small screwdriver..

I changed mine to smoke lenses and silverstar bulbs. When they are off they are clear, power them up and the are amber/yellow. Sumtin' to thin about...

Take off the handlebars, seat and rear wheel. Put a coin in the bottom of the bulb lens and turn it counterclockwise. The lens will fall on the garage floor breaking into a million peices. Go to the Harley shop, get a new lens, install the new bulb and lens. Reinstall the handlebars, seat and rear wheel. You didn't really have to do the rear wheel, just makes the post more interesting.

Oh and I forgot, if you change the bulb yourself, it will void your warranty.

Crazy88 thanks for asking. Since I have to go to the Stealer for most maintenance I would like to think that I can at least change a light bulb myself. I might have been stymied. Oldgeezer that was funny.

You just know there's a bunch of guys with burned out bulbs reading this thread and saying to themselves "ohhhh, THAT'S how you do it"...
