I'd be careful, bad things always come in 3's.

One of the worst things is a flat.
Precautionary measures that I take are using Ride On tire protection system. I just put some in the bike 2 weeks ago, and it really DOES work well.

The 2nd thing I use is a tire repair kit (Wal Mart special- the one with the Ropes and 2 handles to clean and insert + glue) and the $10.00 compressor.

IF you have the space, the compressor is about the size of a 300 pg paperback book. I've gotten flats and have repaired them and been back on the road in under 20 minutes.

Or, there are alternate ways..........one of which you already know about.
