I own a NEXL half helmet and it's "supposed to be" the smallest DOT helmet on the market, and I still think it's f-ing HUGE! To go any smaller you will probably have to get a novelty helmet, as many do just to get by in helmet states.

Check out Advanced Carbon Composites: http://www.carbonfiberhelmets.com

They make a really light and compact DOT half shell. Tell them you heard about them on HD Forums and get a 10% discount.

+1 on the Carbon Fiber stuff. I've read, heard, and talked to people that have good things to say about it. Light, strong, and comfortable.

I have a Skid Lid and a Daytona. The Daytona is not only smaller, but it is much lighter. It's my favorite helmet.

I bought a HD Carbon fiber helmet after I crashed my Fatboy. It isn't any smaller or lighter and cost about $350. It does look cool though.

I'd rather wear a goofy full face helmet than end up like this...
