Default Maybe rent a bike and ride

Anyone ever rent a bike and go for a 3 day road trip? Since my buddy and I live in the Northeast we did not get as many miles as we had hoped this year due to sucky weather. We thought it would be an adventure to head off to a warmer climate sometime this winter rent Harleys and see some stuff we wouldn't see here. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

HD is pretty proud of their rentals I can tell you that, at least a buck and a half a day.

I have done several rentals since I travel frequently and often have a free weekend in other places. Great way to spend a weekend and see the area. We put almost 800 miles on a rental one weekend this summer. A great way to try something different too.
Like others have said, it is not cheap, but then what is these days?
Enjoy the road...

Seems like a great way to get know another ride. 150 is not that bad if you're not worried about milage. Alot cheaper than taking your bike with you

Seems like a great idea to me. Trailering a bike can be a pain. And as has been already said, renting is a great way to ride a different bike.
Ride safe.

It's cheaper than shipping

I've always wanted to do the travel/rental trip, post back your results/opinions if you go for it.

Just got back from a week in Italy on a BMW; I see they rent them "off season" down in Pheonix for $79 a day; that's what I'll be doing for an escape from the cold this winter...I really like my HD; but I don't mind riding the "other stuff" now and then...it adds considerably to your skills as well.

I would love to do that. I would like to rent a Street Glide for a day to see if I would like as much as I think I would maybe on my birthday

I have done this many times on business trips. I just add a few days to the trip and rent a bike and ride. The cost is nothing compared to the enjoyment and new adventures!
