I solo'd the trip this time last year so I can't really speak to the weather but the experience is a once in a lifetime thing. I went from Chattanooga, TN to Nogales, AZ to Kingman, Az. I decided not to go into California because Route 66 went through the upper part near the Southern Rim of the Grand Canyon and set me up to head into Navaho Indian Territory as well as all the way down through New Mexico. I saw loads of really unique stuff like the Memorial to the early Movie Cowboy Tom Mix. Take those backroads they are just too cool.

Have a great time preparing it relieves the "anticipation blues".

I live in the Phoenix area, and at that time of year, Sedona and the Canyon area will be nice........cool mornings, with warm days......perfect time to be up there.......

I second the Jerome ride........haven't been there on my bike yet, but have been there about 4 years ago.....cool place.
