Default Rear brake problems

Hi,

I have a 2005 883 Sportster Low and recently the rear brake is giving me problems. It all started when I replaced the brake light switch because the brake light was not coming on when I depressed the foot brake pedal.
I bled the brake line after replacing the switch thinking this would solve the problem, It did not.
After bleeding the brake line and adjusting the pedal height I had brakes. After it sat over night I had no rear brake.
I am thinking the master cylinder is suspect because when I press hard on the pedal it fades slowly.

Anyone ever experience this problem?

Sounds like the Master Cylinder to me.
Did you lose any fluid since the bleeding?
I'd try bleeding one more time, but I'm thinking the master.

Hi Marksman,

There is no leaking going on and that's why I am thinking it's the master cyl not holding pressure. I have bled the brakes at least 5 times and still little or no rear brake.

Thanks
