engine temp

RE: engine temp
I think a twin cam motor doesn't hit operating temp until 220 degrees. I think you could get 200 easily in 70 degree weather.

RE: engine temp
I have a temp. gauge in my oil tank on my StreetGlide. Runs about 230-260F. Heat Management kicks in at about 289F and reduces RPM's to supposedly save the motor. Kind of a pain when it stalls in traffic. My Sportster runs hot at about 230F.

RE: engine temp
under 80 deg. oil temp is in the 180-195 range. after that it will go to 210 or so running. sitting it will get up to 220. I use the harley premium cooler and syn. oil. the dip stick cooler I got is pretty close. It's been checked with the digital we use at work. this is on my 05 efi n-train.
