Last week I purchase a set of Gerbings heated gear. The heated jacket liner, classic gloves, the Union Ridge outer wear (like overpants), and a dual thermostat controller. The cost was $696. I love it, I used it one morning when it got to about 50 degrees and on low it kept me very warm. The product information states that it has the capabilities to warm up to 135 degrees F (+/- 5 degrees) at 32 degrees.

I got the gear from Shangorider.com

I have a friend that wears the lines over nomal clothing, not layered, with a HD rainsuit over the jacket and pant liners with the classic gloves and rides all winter long regaurdless of the temperature and claims that he has never been cold.

Find some overpants in your material of preference (leather, nylon, etc). This will keep you warm and give you full coverage.

What happened to the good old days when you wore what you owned and could afford and no one gave a rat's azz? For you relatively new to the biker world guys, believe it or not, there was a time when you were accepted just because you rode a motorcycle, not because you lived up to some majority's standards ..............
Agree completly!!!

chaps under the artic carharts, snowmobile gloves, leather jacket & vest with a set of rain gear over everything, face mask, good to zero in Ohio.
Oh, hey, chaps don't make you look gay. You look gay cause you got that tiny pecker of yours between your thumb and forefinger when your on that bad *** harley of yours, now that makes you look gay, or says all those chicks you think you know so well!

They make leather pants that fit over jeans. My friend sold them. I'm big on leather personally. It works for cows...

Chaps work fine for me, but I will add the long johns when it gets cold.
I'm not rich enough to be a poser.

If it is getting below 30 and I'm riding for more than 20-30 mins I often just wear jeans and polypropylene long underwear. Great for cold weather but at the same time, they breath well and wick away any sweat so they are comfortable for warmer temperatures. (i.e. I don't have to take 'em off when I get to where I'm going)
