FXRG Coat Warranty

FXRG Coat Warranty
I have an FXRG medium weight leather coat I got 2 years ago. The zipper is starting to have issues and I was reading the paperwork and it says that this coat has a "limited 5 year warranty. See your dealer for details."
Will they take the coat and send it out for zipper replacement? Replace the coat out right,
or tell me tough ****?
Anyone gone thru this before?
I would like to know what I am up against here.
Thanks in advance.

when I bought mine they said to just bring it back if there were any problems. They did mention the older coats having a zipper issue. Take it back to the dealer they will probably send it out for repair.

What the dealer will really do
I have the Heritage Jacket that was over 1 year old when my zipper died. I took it back and they would not fix it. Harley did send a new zipper but I had to pay for it to be repairded. It cost $30.00 for the cleaners to fix the zipper.
I did not wear the jacket every day, I only wore it 8 or 9 times the whole season. I spent over $200.00 on the jacket. This from the same dealer I bought my Ultra from. I went to another dealer first and they told me take it back to where I bought it.

..and that's why lots of people buy leather from Langlitz, Schott, Fox Creek, etc... For the money HD wants for their top line stuff, there are much better choices from companies that stand behind thier products -- at least IMHO.

PSO169's jacket was not under warranty. Your FXRG is. Take it back. They will take care of it at no cost to you. Several people on this forum have had the zipper replaced at no cost on the FXRG. So far, my older heavy weight FXRG has had no problems. Good luck.

I had problems with the main zipper on my FXRG jacket. I waited until the riding season was over with, then took it in to the dealer where I bought it after calling them up. I gave it to them without the liner inside. HD sent me a brand new jacket with improved zippers all-around. Plus, the new jacket also had a liner, so now I have two liners, whatever that's worth.

The older FXRG's had an outer zipper that was about half the size of the newer jackets.
Mine failed in about three months worked with my dealer and they ordered me a new one.
Best part was the one I bought had a stain on it and they took 40% off so now I have a brand new $600 some dollar....with a real zipper!!
