This was my first ride...The Honda Passport....man I can still feel how excited I was to ride this 3-speed. I went....60 MPH max. It took me everywhere. I rode it from about 11-17yrs. I loved this bike. OYeah...Mine was YELLOW with the basket in front too. SWEEEET!!! Fairings have come along way from this to the Road Glide! I think I still have two of these in my mom's shed back home! HA!

Mine would have been yamaha 400 special. Bought it and rode it 3 years before cops told me I better get a license.

 

My first bike was a 1974 Yamaha RD 350 (hit my pics and see it's likeness) 350lbs and the 2cycle engine made about 40hp. 6 speed trans (yes MoCo 6 speed in 1974 standard) Full guages...Front disc brake...very fast.......but the sound.."wing di dingding". Sounded like a waring blender on hi speed. But this bike would take a brutal beating and ran great on synthetic 2 cycle oil that was blue in color. So you had a 2 cycle oil tank, fuel tank and auto gas/oil mixing system. You had to change the trans gear oil every 3,000 miles. The seat was hinged on the side and flipped up for battery access and tool kit. You needed lots of spark plugs as this baby would foul them all the time so you had 2 sets always but it only took about 5 minutes to change them.

 

1998 honda aero vt1100 and that was only a little over 4 yrs ago..

 

2003 Honda Shadow 750 ACE. Rode it for 3 months before I bought my Sporty.

 

My first road bike was a 1965 CA77E 300 Honda Dream looked just like this one. That was Honda's big gun road bike in her day. Put a pile of miles on that thing.

 

58 Sportster, basket case. Magneto, no ignition key. Kick it to start, push the kill button (ground) to stop. Learned alot about Harleys by putting that back together.
